Topher ignored the roll of her eyes. That was something he had long ago gotten used to seeing in his profession, people who didn't agree or thought doctors were just being stick-in-the-muds. Because, of course, it had nothing to do with making sure the patient was safe, that would just be silly, wouldn't it?
"Sure, I can do that." He nodded and moved over to the side to grab a pad and a pen from one of the drawers. Topher had a whole drawer full of pens that he had collected after the Pulse. After all, he doubted pens would be easily made or bought, so he had just grabbed any he had seen around. Which was why he now had a ridiculous amount.
The doctor jotted down what he had told Mac, started with a reminder to come in tomorrow to have the strapping removed and he would then talk her properly through the breathing exercises. Then he wrote out clear instructions on taking the medication, again added about no alcohol and to take them with food. Before finishing with what to avoid whilst her ribs healed up. Lucky for her, Topher wasn't your stereotypical doctor when it came down to handwriting.
"Yes, really, no alcohol. It messes with the medication for a start but it when combined with them it can be dangerous... we really don't just say it for fun," Topher replied as he wrote down the information for her. "Not to mention you want to avoid anything that could make you cough or cause fluid to build on your lungs. Trust me, I really do know what I'm talking about," he added before he tore off the paper from the pad and handed it to her.
