Topher ignored the gritted out comment, nor did he offer apology for the pain as he moved her arm. Once her shoulder clicked back into place he rotated it a few times in the opposite direction to check her range of motion and make sure it was properly in.
The doctor moved away to get his stethoscope and some bandages. When he turned back he found her already topless and prodding her ribs. He sighed audibly at that. "Not as strong as I used to have available I'm afraid," he said in answer to the pain killer question. "And stop that." He caught her hand and moved it away from her side to stop her touching her ribs anymore. "If you have broken something you don't want to move it wrong," he explained before she could snap at him. He then proceeded to feel along her ribs himself, mindful of her reactions as he did. His brow furrowing as he felt movement under his fingers on one rib.
After a while he leaned back and stopped. "Well, you definitely have a broken rib... let me just listen to your breathing to check it's not pressing onto your lung..." He didn't think it was or that it had perforated the organ but he had to check. He also really hoped not, because that could prove hard to treat now. He held the stethoscope up, silently asking permission to use it before doing so, thankful to hear that her lungs were clear.
