Topher rolled his eyes as she brushed off his help, only really releasing her when she winced. He stayed close enough in case he needed to move just in case the stubborn woman passed out or something. The doctor held in a sigh when she didn't sit down but he left her near the bed while he moved around to get the supplies he would need. He chose to ignore the comment about the 'disagreement', he was used to patching up people after such things. It wasn't a new thing before the pulse and it certainly wasn't one since.
"You've probably damaged your ribs in some way," he said without looking up from grabbing supplies. "That and I find it's a good idea to stop talking so much and as loud when you have breathing problems." If anyone knew a thing or two about that, it was the Chet doctor. Not that he wanted that to be common knowledge.
Topher moved back over to the examination bed, setting the supplies out where he would be able to reach them easily before finally looking at her again. "If you have cracked a rib, or just bruised them, it's going to hurt when you breath. Try not to take such a deep breath for a while. What hurts?" he asked, waiting to see if she would sit down without him having to ask.
