"I like the coat," Orion remarked, nearly reaching out a hand to pet the fur. But it might have seemed presumptuous, so she kept her hands to herself. "Where'd you get it?"
She'd probably find out it was an heirloom or something, and then she'd really feel stupid, but Vesper did seem very attached to the garment. It was unusual to find someone who valued something deeply enough to hang onto it in these days of only keeping what you could comfortably carry, but hell, she'd been wrong before about what people valued.
"I wish I had a coat like that, if only because it looks really warm."
