Even though she'd heard there was an actual doctor who'd set up shop close to the trading post, Orion had yet to seek him out. She stayed pretty healthy on her own, especially since she was the only one looking out for herself, but it might pay to make the acquaintance of someone who could do something more than just provide field medicine.
The day was warm with a faint breeze wafting the scant clouds past the hunter as she made the last of the trek, and Amy almost barreled right into her while making a getaway from one of the other children in the area. "Hey, there! Whoa!" Orion burst out, laughing a little before righting the girl and pointing back at the post.
"C'mon back, now," she cajoled as she continued her trek. "I'm sure your dad wonders where you are by now." She had heard enough about the doc to know that he had a kid, and it wouldn't have looked good if Amy had hurt herself while the brunette was in range to stop it. Besides, she sort of liked kids. Sort of.
She finished the walk at the door to where the clinic was set up, poked her head in just as Amy zipped past her. "Anybody home?"
