Daniel felt some of the nervous tension leave his body as he moved over to the fridge. Having someone around, even for a little bit, was enough to make him feel a bit better and less likely to listen to any of the scenarios that he'd imagine could happen to Jessie. Him worrying was never a good thing, in fact, it was one of the things his doctor had specifically told him not to do when he was at his worse. Of course, it helped more that the 'someone' was Angel. He had missed spending time with her or just seeing her at the reception desk at work while he was on.
He grabbed two beers from the fridge and, after uncapping them, turned to go back into the main room. It was rare that Daniel drank alcohol at home but he had found himself almost unconsciously getting one out of the fridge earlier and in the end thought it might calm his nerves. It didn't, of course.
"How are you?" he asked as he moved back into the room, holding out one uncapped bottle to her before he sat on the sofa and took a swig out of his own fresh beer. "Haven't seen you much lately."
