Mac was tired, but she and her men were approaching a town, or so said her navigator. He told her it looked like a good place to stop for the night and find supplies before moving on, if they wanted to move on. Every now and then, Mac and her Tres 60 would stop in a town and stay for a while. They even helped one town set up some kind of order, though the vast majority of places they came across were in complete chaos. Mac didn't mind those places, more people to be fearful and listen to her in those places. Carmel, Mac's horse, was getting tired too, she could feel it as they moved. The poor beast had been on the move for a few days now with little rest. Perhaps they'd stay in the town for longer than a night and let their horses recoup. And perhaps they could cause a little trouble and recruit more members while they were at it.

Since the world as they knew it was over, it wasn't so easy to cause trouble and be known for it. There wasn't any newspapers or news reporters to report the latest destruction. Everything was word of mouth now. Even though word spread quickly, there were still gaps in communication, and the Tres 60 weren't as feared as they once were. This had caused some her men to leave the gang, but Mac let them. She didn't want weak fucks in her group if they couldn't take the way things were now.

Coming into the town, Mac wasn't sure how she felt about the place. She was tempted to just find supplies and leave with her men instead of stay awhile. Perhaps move on to the next town for the rest they required. But as the gang traveled around Cascade Locks, Mac noticed something was going on beneath the surface. People were organizing, but with who? Mac actually got down from her horse and grabbed a random person by the collar.

"Hey, what's going on here? Who runs this place?" she asked forcefully. The man, who was startled to come across a women with strength in her grip, initially didn't answer her. So Mac had to shake him twice to get his attention better. "Come on, I don't have the time for bullshit," she warned, her hand reaching for one of her knives.

"Okay, okay, chill out lady," he replied. He gave her a name, Saga, and told her to talk to that person. Mac didn't bother thanking him and just shoved him along. Mac had no idea who this Saga person was, but she sure as hell was going to find out. If there was some real leadership going on, Mac wanted in. And if need be, find herself either an ally or an enemy. So Mac made her way back to what was called the Bridge of Gods, nice name, and took a group of 4 with her for back up if need be. She ordered the rest to stay in town, lay low, and relax while she figured out what was going on.

Looking around, Mac wasn't sure who to talk to, so she simply announced, "Hey, I'm looking for Saga. I'm told she runs this place? Know where I can find her?"

"I'm here." Saga strode out from among the crowd, she was dusty and tired from holding up her part in the work going on to rebuild the failing town, but she stood out, she was well dressed, well nourished and the confidence she held was obvious.

"Is there a reason you're striding around demanding to know where I am, and shaking down the citizen's of this town, or are you just trying to annoy me?" Saga drawled, raising her chin to look the newcomer in the eye.

So it was a woman she was looking for. Good to know. Women leaders tended to be less ego driven and reasonable to talk to than men leaders. Mac had to break a few jaws during her travels solely because arrogant men refused to even speak to her because she was a woman. Fucking idiots.

Mac got off her horse to be level with the woman. Because it was summer, Mac had a white tank top on and her hair pulled up, the edges of her gang tattoo showing to anyone behind her, and if they knew what it was, they were wise to be a little fearful. After all, hers wasn't just any Tres 60 gang tattoo, it had the crown, telling all the world she was their leader.

"I'm Mac Chavez, and I would like to speak you in private," she replied. Mac didn't do business talks in front of others. She hoped her name would ring a bell with Saga, if not, than at least some others that were around who may or may not had seen her tattoo.

"Fair enough" Saga said evenly, moving away from Mac in a swish of black fabric and building dust. She knew she didn't look too imposing right now and that was the point, if anyone wanted to try their hand they could do it now before there was too much to lose.

"So Mac Chavez...what do you want from me and Cascade Locks?" Saga asked softly.

Mac moved off to the side with the other woman, her eyes looking her over as they walked. The woman appeared strong, and un-afraid to get her hands dirty. Mac wondered what kind of leader she was, whether or not she held her ground and got things done with a firm grip or if she was the kind to let others influence her and bend to their wishes. Maybe that was why she was working? Well, either reason could be why she was working. Mac would just have to find out.

"I noticed that people are mobilizing under you and curiosity struck me as to why. Most of the towns we've been to have been mostly chaos. Imagine my surprise to find yours pretty well organized compared to the others. I like this town so far, and I was even considering making it a permanent spot for me and my men. But I don't want to step on anyone's toes. Tell me, are you really in charge here?" Mac spoke even toned. This was a supposed to be a lead into negotiations not a fight. Woman or not, leaders didn't tend to respond well when spoken to with an intimidating or demanding tone.
