Sara was right. Ivo had pulled the trigger and the chances were good that he would have killed both Sara and Shado regardless. Oliver wondered if the only reason he hadn't killed Sara was because of whatever their relationship had been on the freighter. It wasn't something that she talked about and he respected that. She'd helped him with his work, Oliver knew that much.
"I wonder if Slade will ever think anyone has suffered enough," he mused, letting her go and sitting back agains the couch. "He's so far gone, Sara. He thinks he sees her...Shado...that she's talking to him. The man we knew is just not there anymore. When I first saw him again, at the mansion, it was like there was still part of the Slade we knew there but now? Now I don't see that at all. All I see is a madman."
