Seeing Ryun so struck by her condition made it even harder for Riona to keep it together. He said nothing at first, silent with shock. He practically collapsed in the chair beside her bed. The tears came to his beautiful eyes she couldn't stop her own. At his words asking why she would come here when her health was so frail, she tried to smile at him, trying to be a little reassuring as she reached for his face, gently cupping his face in one hand, softly wiping away the hot tears falling down his cheeks.
"Oppa please do not cry for me, what is meant to be will be." It wasn't entirely clear which one of them she was trying to reassure. "I couldn't stand the idea of Orika Ehime working on this collaboration with you. It was too..personal." Ryun was the first person she had verbalized her dislike of Orika, even if she didn't say so in so many words. "Once I chose to continue work kn Trouble Maker, it was with the understanding I would continue to fulfill all my contractual obligations within reason."
Perhaps it was foolish of her to continue to work through her sickness but the idea of giving it all up and sitting around essentially waiting for the sickness to overtake her was unappealing to the kitsune. She tried to reassure Ryun.
"At school its not quite as hard as on me as traveling has been. And the emotional stress didn't help." She gently caressed his cheek, brushing away stray tears.
