"Me?! You're the one sneaking up behind me and surprising me so adorably." Dallas couldn't help but smile, though he had no time to say anything more. Before he could formulate more words, Grace's lips were on his, and the warmth that spread through him was immediate. His arms wrapped around her waist as they kissed, pulling her body into his as his lips moved with her own. The heated moment lasted for longer than a lot of their kisses before it, and Dallas couldn't help all the emotions that surged through him. He just wanted to lift Grace up and shout how he loved her at the top of his lungs, but there was still a part of him that was afraid he'd scare her away. All his adoration masked the mirrored expressions in her eyes, and he totally missed his own feelings staring back at him.
Pulling back, Dallas brushed a stray strand of golden hair behind her ear, smiling down at her as he kept his arms around her. "With kisses like that to distract me, we'll never get to ice skating."
