Her smile was absolute beauty, probably the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He hadn't wanted it to leave her face, not even so those soft lips were against his- it was that beautiful. He also didn't know how she'd react to him kissing her and didn't want to wreck the intimate moments they were having.
Yes! He'd gotten another cheek warming kiss for his silliness! He could definitely get used to receiving them. As he watched her put her painting up he realized exactly what he'd been missing. That Suki had been slowly yet surely making a place in his heart and that there was nothing he could do about it. He was fond of her, very fond of her- of course he was, what other relationship point had a guy waiting for her birthday day to begin so he could spoil her with heart-shaped jewelry and paintings and cake. Part of him was mortified, another scared and another had known it the whole time and just been quiet. He sat quietly and felt like he was seeing for the first time- it was an odd sensation.
"Wine sounds, appropriate" He smiled nodding his head in a polite manner. He found his mannerisms were weird today, especially around her but they weren't bad! He quite liked being so open, polite and sweet to her because he was sure she wouldn't throw it back in his face.
He couldn't imagine no one remembering his birthday, it just didn't happen- everyone knew Christmas was from Santa and to Riku (And Jin, but eh). He honestly had no idea why he'd made her so happy but he was glad he had. He'd purposely come in the middle of the night so he didn't interfere with her other plans for the day. She was important to him and she deserved to be spoiled by everyone, he just hadn't expressed her importance or really acknowledged it to himself.
He smirked a little as he followed behind her, he'd been tempted to take her hand when she'd traced his but he hadn't. He seemed to be missing every queue from over thinking or being consumed with her too much to act! He was mentally kicking himself as he moved over to the table and opened the cake box away from her until it was completely undone and he spun it to show her the prettiness of her cake! Of course he was thinking of what other things dessert could be for him but she'd seemed nervous with him just being near her, so he was going to have to play it by ear. "Happy Birthday Suki" He smiled as he put a few candles into the top and pulled a lighter out of his pocket lighting them. HE sung for her again, because that was normal- you were meant to sing to people as they admired their cake and blew the candles making a wish.
