Christmas was one of Dallas' very favorite times of year. It felt even better this year because he had Grace, and sharing everything with her in his life made it all seem better. Brighter. So her invitation to come along into Halifax for trees and decorations and supplies was one he readily accepted. Dallas was toying with the idea of asking Grace to come home with him for Christmas, or at least part of it, but wasn't sure if that would be taking things too far. He had been thinking a lot about their relationship lately, more so after Kaleb cornered him once he heard what song they had chosen to sing for their talent show performance. The realization that he might actually love Grace was a big one, and he was too shy to talk to anyone about it; least of all Grace. He didn't want her to think he was pathetic or weird or smothering, as Dallas still wasn't the smoothest and most experienced with relationships.
Those thoughts lingered in his mind, but he was more focused on today's trip than anything else. Any time he spent with Grace was good in his book, so he was looking forward to this. He didn't know if she had family plans or would even WANT to come home with him, so these times might be their only chance for holiday enjoyment. Knowing this, Dallas didn't want to be late, but he had spent a little more time with Memphis that afternoon than he'd anticipated. Excusing himself, he hurried to the parking lot, coming in time to catch Grace as she crept along towards the car; looking like an adorable ninja as she stayed just out of Drew and Harley's sight.
"Whatcha looking at? All dressed up like a movie star, yet acting like a sneaky little spy," he teased as he came up behind her; smiling as he spoke next to her ear.
