Dinner | Table | Minako & Xiah (OPEN)
Of course his brother had a comment, but Xiah hadn't expected anything less from Riku. And it didn't take away from his own thanks in anyway. And of course Xiah was completely unaware of any tension between the girl he was smitten with and his older brother. Just as it hadn't occurred to him that his father might not be pleased with him choosing a Japanese girl. Xiah and his father rarely spoke unless it was about music and business of that nature. Xiah had made it quite clear he wanted no part of the old family business, even if several of his friends were part of it. All he wanted to do was to make music, love whom he loved and be a good person. Sometimes it was harder for him to do all of that with his father watching him, but it was what Xiah wanted.
Mina's smile made Xiah feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and his own smile showed all of that. She leaned in and spoke, only for him and he reached over and gently caressed her face. He wanted to kiss her, but it was highly inappropriate to kiss her in front of all their friends. And he wanted their first kiss to be special and just for them. So instead her only held her eyes for a moment and gently touched her face.
"We're the two luckiest people here," he said softly, no longer speaking for anyone else to hear. He leaned forward and gently kissed her on the forehead affectionately, before leaning back into his chair, still holding her hand. He knew he had to let go of her hand to let her eat, but he didn't really want to. Reluctantly he let go of her hand, and smiled at her. Looking across the table at his brother, he grinned at him too, completely oblivious to the fact that Riku might be less then pleased with his choice.
As everyone had finished their giving their thanks, Xiah dug into the food eagarly. He had of course skipped breakfast and lunch so he could eat until his tiger heart was content. After all Mina and Riona has slaved over this meal all day! It was only polite to eat it with zeal! "This is delicious," he complimented the girls.
