THREAD: RIONA & RYUN
WHO: Riona Hyuna & Ryun Ahn WHEN: Tuesday, Aug. 29th, noon WHERE: Halls of Mystic Veil WHAT: Riona and Ryun can't avoid each other forever. RATING: Low. OPEN: Possibly. | GB can most certainly see all this, unless it gets private.
Settling into her new school wasn't as hard for Riona as she thought it would be. Sure she was a super famous K-pop idol in Seoul, but here in Mystic Veil, there was royalty and most people wouldn't know K-pop if it was on their headphones, nevermind if one of those singers was in front of them. The anonymity was a blessing for her. Most people didn't know who she was, here she was just another pretty face. Of course there were a few people who knew or figured out who she was, as the American DJ Mylene had, but those people had been few and far between and less impressed with her status in her own country and that was perfecly fine for her. Riona had a reason for being here and it wasn't to make friends or impress anyone. She had her own health to think about. And Mystic Veil had a world reknowned supernatural medical center at the school. Of course no one knew about this, except the select few medical specialists whom had been on her her special case. However she was really enjoying her class load, which wasn't especially hard, as she was really only taking a few classes that peaked her interest and to make it look like she was really here to further her education, should word leak about her whereabouts. She knew her disappearance from the K-pop scene hadn't exactly been ideal, but she had to. Her health had been interferring with her ability to do her job. She couldn't dance like she used to and seeing some videos of the group had hammered that home to her. Combining that with the tensions in the group of late, Riona just hadn't seen a choice. Of course her confusing feelings for two boys, just wasn't helping. So cue ungraceful exit stage left.
Of course she hadn't been expecting EITHER of those boys to end up at this school, nevermind BOTH of them. She wasn't so arrogant to assume they had FOLLOWED her here, but the coincidence was just too much for her to handle. So she had done the bravest thing she could think of: hide from them both. She had ended things with Kwan right before the Troublemaker collaboration had been started with Ryun, but that had still been complicated. And then the chemistry between her and Ryun had been undeniable. That kiss in the studio...Riona shook herself from her reverie as she found herself standing, staring out a window in a mostly abandoned hallway. It was a few hours after school had let out, near the library where she had been studying in a private room. She had an appointment with Dr. Eland later that evening after his shift at the hospital in town, but nothing to do until then as she had already been able to finish all of her homework, due to not having much of a social life and hiding from those she actually knew. She had spoken to Sun on the journals used here at Mystic, but had also tried to avoid him as well. Her fear of questions, since she had just pretty much disappeared without so much as a word after Ryun had kissed her, kept her from finding comradary with her k-pop peers.
As she spun around, to return to her dorm and find something else to occupy herself, she literally bumped into someone standing behind her, probably trying to decide if he was going to say something to her, causing her to drop the books and papers in her arms, that had been clutched against her chest. Swearing softly in Korean, she gracefully squatted down, balancing on her heels as she reached for the papers, her hand and the person whom she had crashed into reached for the same pile of papers, warm skin brushing against each other. Riona looked up into the beautiful eyes of none of then Ryun. She didn't pull her hand away right away, even though she probably should have. Instead she quite literally froze. It was one thing to know he was here, it was another to have him here, face to face, his warm hand on hers. She swallowed hard, and still didn't move. This was part of the problem, part of why she ran. She couldn't give him what she thought he wanted. Her life, her private life, it was so rife with secrets, secrets she couldn't share with him, and relationships were based on truth, or the successful ones were atleast.
"Ann-young," [HI IN KOREAN] she said softly, finally pulling her hand back, with the papers beneath it, to place in the pile beside her that she had already gathered. She didn't say anything else as she gathered the rest of the papers, taking them gently from him as she stood up, smoothing down the pale flowing transparent blouse she wore.
