Evangeline & Callum
Callum felt better when she assured him that he hadn't stolen someone's seat. He wasn't typically so awkward, but he didn't know how to act around Evangeline half the time. After she'd left things between them unresolved, he hadn't heard from her at all despite his efforts to contact her. When he saw her again at school, Callum had been confused and conflicted, though Johnny's party had seemed to be a turning point. They had talked like old times almost, and then the song performance had happened. Evangeline had chosen a pretty meaningful song, and she certainly hadn't had to sing to him personally. So what did it all mean? Part of Callum wanted to ask, but he had never been a pushy person. Emotions weren't something he was well-versed in, but he wasn't a complete cripple. He just didn't want to risk her cutting off contact again.
"Promotions for the movie. Interviews. Photoshoots. Prep for the second one," he answered with a shrug. It had been a widely successful film, even bigger than had been anticipated, and everyone was playing it by ear as far as press and the instant fame were concerned. "I wanted to call or email, but I completely lost track of myself for a bit." Callum truly felt bad, and it was obvious as he looked at her. He knew Evangeline probably hadn't been expecting him to contact her, but he felt the need to explain anyway. "Peaceful is always good. I sometimes miss what that can feel like," he confessed, looking off into the distance before pulling his eyes back to her.
