The lingering of Angel's fingers against her cheek caused Gia to close her eyes for a second and sigh. This type of contact was so new but felt so wonderful. To her, even being cuddled beside him was comforting.
When Angel settled back and moved the puppy to his lap, Gia nestled herself into the crook of his arm, her head just above his shoulder. The southern boy spoke so sweetly of her which only deepened the burgeoning feelings for him. She couldn't wait to talk to the girls...they would know if she was letting her heart move too fast.
Absently, Gia stroked the little canine's head as she mused, "I think I have more to worry about. You're going to go off tomorrow and I'm going to be jealous of all the girls you spend your summer with."
She honestly wished that they didn't have to be apart, but when you make plans it wasn't fair to just cancel them last minute just to be with a 'maybe' girlfriend. "I think I am upset with Zack for taking you away so soon."
