Lia was not typically a violent person, but this was an extreme circumstance. It wasn't just what they had done to her, though that was beyond horrible. It was what had happened a few months ago at the academy. All her friends, her beloved sister, all senselessly hurt by people just like the ones that had attacked her. The siren believed people could do whatever they wanted to her, but you did NOT mess with the people she loved. Whether or not people knew it, Kiss was still not over what had happened to her, and that made Lia angrier than she knew what to do with. And now this, another needless attack, that had been intended to end her life. Bearing all that in mind, it was no wonder Lia felt no sadness when she learned of the gang leader's death. She meant what she said, and wasn't sure if Nyx would be ashamed of her or not.
Looking back up as he revealed more details, her eyes searched his as he paused. There was something in the way he spoke, something in all those intimate details, that niggled at the back of her mind. The throbbing in addition to the painkillers made her ability to reason a little fuzzy, and she wrinkled her brow as the effort to figure out what he wasn't saying became uncomfortable.
"How do you know all this?" she finally asked, blue eyes studying his as if she could find the answers there. Before he could respond, something clicked through all the haze enveloping her mind. Realization shone in her eyes, though it was peppered with unanswered questions. "What did you do? Or rather...how?" Lia was stunned, but she realized after a few seconds that it wasn't in a bad way. She wasn't angry or afraid of Nyx. She felt...satisfied. And oddly enough, touched by this realization.
