"Thanks, love," she replied with a grin. Lucy liked Maddox well enough as a person. Most of the time her refusal was just to get under his skin. She wasn't an easy type of girl, and she wanted to make sure guys knew that. Right now, however, she didn't care about playing hard to get. Maddie was nice, and while she would've preferred her birthday company to be different, she wasn't going to scoff at someone who only seemed to want her to have a good time. Lucy was already doing that, and she definitely found her mood improved as the witch stepped closer instead of asking her to move back.
Feeling his arm slide around her waist made the heat from the alcohol seem more intense, and she smirked as she took an offered shot and downed it obediently. "You already look pretty to me, Maddox Lennon. But if drinking will make it even better, than drink I will!" At this point, she wasn't even sure where the shots were coming from. Lucy held up her arms and smiled as if winning some kind of race, before knocking back more drinks than she knew what to do with.
Her head was spinning after a little while, but in a good kind of way. Everything seemed so relaxed and non-important now, except being close to Maddie. It felt good to feel wanted, and it was obvious why everyone seemed to eager to fall to Maddox's charms.
