Who: Maria and Davin
When: Guys I dont even know anymore
Where: Davin's dorm
What: Confessions of truma filled lives (TRIGGER WARNING - abuse, rape, child abuse.)
You would think Maria would know better by now. Spending any time at home never went well. Not that anyone really understood what she meant the rare times she commented about those visits not going well. They always told her that families were rough and you had to be there for family. It was an obligation to be there for family, even when they do awful things. To be fair Maria had never actually told anyone what her father and uncle had always done to her... what they still did.
maybe if people knew they wouldn't make her feel guilty about resisting going home for holidays or school breaks. This time though her father had gotten very sick. He needed help when her uncle was at work. She had tried to find other solutions, tried using school as an excuse, but in the end she had headed home. Besides he was sick and her uncle was busy with work she tried to believe it would be fine. It was only until her father was feeling better.
It wasn't fine. despite his illness her father still pawed at her and it was only the second night when she woke up to find her uncle on top of her pulling at her clothes. She knew it was pointless even as she tried to push him away. He always got what he wanted and she always ended up with bruises. Her stay only ended up being a little more than a week. Once her father had enough strength to try to pull her in to bed with him causing her to hit her head on the headboard of the bed she decided he was clearly well enough to be on his own.
Now she was back at school trying to forget the past week. Though the pretty burise and knot right above her eye made it harder. Maria was great with makeup though and no one would even guess it was there unless they touched her. the thing hurt like a bitch. at least the various other bruises didnt hurt like that.
Being back at school came with its own challenges. practically the first thing she saw when she got there was Alex acting sickeningly cute with his pretty blonde girlfriend, which only annoyed the brunette Jersey girl, and then she ran in to Hendrix with his pretty blonde and that just annoyed her on behalf of Lyrica. Seriously what the fuck was with the pretty blondes lately? Her best friend was busy when she messaged her and before she even knew it she was on her way to Davin's. She could always trust him to drive her out of her mind for awhile even as she ignored the way her mind seemed to shrink away from the idea of being touched at the moment. It wasnt like it was knew and honestly she had never listened to it before.
The jeans and jacket she wore hid the bruises for now. At least she wasnt questioned about them the minute the door to his room opened. Her mischvious smile spread over her face at the sight of him. There was a feeling there everytime she saw him that she didnt have a name for and she didnt bother trying to figure it out. "Miss me?" she asked teasingly as she let her fingers trail over his chest as she passed him to enter his room.
