“I mean it is a little bit,” she protested softly, “I didn’t stay here.” She knew Brea had wanted her to stay somewhere safe but she also knew there was almost no way they would have found Corey if she had. Her little sister would be gone. Still hearing him say he would be there was everything. She had no idea how she had gotten so lucky but Brea was perfect. It was a real smile, soft but warm, on her face as he kissed her forehead.
Logan blushed a little as he confirmed he had only been drinking water. She had never been a huge drinking. Stars were notorious lightweights anyway so the few times she had drank much of anything she didn’t remember much from. But surely if there was ever a time for a drink this was it. I could help her relax. “Its temping…” she said. Though the more she thought of it the more concerned she grew that it could go badly too. What if the fear took over with the alcohol? But it also could help? Of course there was the more important downside that in order to get a drink she would have to let go of her boyfriend.
“I’m actually really torn. A drink sounds really good but that also means letting you go and I don’t want to do that,” She admitted. She smiled, it was a real one that actually did reach her eyes. There was still anxiety and lingering fear there but it those were further away. Instead of moving to get up or letting him go get them drinks Logan leaned in to capture his lips again, letting it deepen as her lips parted for him. Logan was quickly realizing that all the fear and worry that he held at bay dissipated even more as she kissed him. She couldn’t imagine that a drink would be more effective than the taste of his lips. She let her arms tighten around him as she pulled her self closer to him.
