Colt was barely keeping his shit together. Corey was breathing and really that was all he cared about in that moment. Breathing meant she wasn't dead, though it didn't mean she was anywhere near out of danger. he was nodding as he listened to Logan's explanation. Honestly he was willing to do just about anything to make sure he didn't lose Corey.
As the plan started move in to motion, Colt turned his attention back to Corey. His hands touched her face and he talked to her as the other two did what they needed to. It was only when he heard Logan say his name that he turned again. He took the bowl she held out to him without question and turned back to give it to Corey. But he stopped short with Brea's words. Colt's eyes grew wide and more panicked at his friend's suggestion. Somewhere in his head he knew Brea was right. She had to come off of those but the idea of doing so didn't make him feel any better. Colt swallowed hard as he steeled himself for what he needed to do.
He set himself in the best position to pull her off the metal, he was trying to talk gently to her as he worked out what needed to happen in his head. If he thought about it as nothing more than any other task for brute force he could do this. It was hardly the same thing but in this moment he just needed to focus on strength. he waited for Brea's word before he pulled.
The scream that escaped her tore at his heart. It was amplified as he heard Logan scream with her behind him. He tried to comfort Corey as he moved as quickly as he could to settle her and get the potion down her throat. "This will help baby," he told her.
Colt completely missed that Logan had moved to come closer and promptly lost her balance. She landed pretty hard on the ground but it didn't faze her much. Instead she crawled to her sister's side fretting as she watched the magic work. Colt honestly didn't know what to expect but Corey's color seemed to return a little almost as if Logan's concoction was replenishing her blood some and Brea's spell seemed to be knitting over the wounds enough to keep her from bleeding out again. Seeing this is was clear that while Corey was far from out of the woods, she at least had a chance now. He tried to ignore the relief that was hitting him, they weren't at the time for relief yet. There was still so much to focus on. But he couldn't help it as held Corey's head in his lap for a moment.
"Can we go now?" Logan asked, "Did you bring a car?" it suddenly occurred to her that she had no idea how the boys had gotten there and therefore no idea how they were getting Corey to help.
