Logan couldn't fight her tears. Corey faded out again and she honestly couldn’t tell if she had just watched her sister die before her eyes. “Corey. Corey please,” she begged through her tears as she struggled and kicked at the men that meant her sister more harm. It didn’t help that with every struggle the ropes that bound her seem to tighten, not to mention that as her heart rate increased with fear and excretion, more and more blood flowed through the shunt in her arm. It didn’t slow her panic at all.
The flurry of noise and yelling grabbed her attention. The men talking about harvesting bone from Corey were instantly distracted, running in a different direction. Despite how the ropes fought her Logan struggled to see around her. The sense of relief that moved through seeing her boyfriend was intense. Probably even more so as things were starting to be a bit hazy from how quickly she was losing blood. Her heart dropped and the world spun as she saw the man charging her sister. No… They couldn't take her from her not when they were so close. They had gotten here. They would all be ok. Logan screamed not noticed Brea’s shield until the man bounced away.
“I’m sorry,” she stared as Brea reached her. Her eyes were filled with terror and relief and a jumble of emotions that couldn’t make any sense. She was so scared but she also knew that there was no way they would have found Corey in time if she hadn't made that choice. Honestly she wasn’t sure they actually had yet. Logan cried out as the bindings grew tighter around her. But the sound was cut short as the rope around her neck began to cut off her air. “Corey,” she practically pleaded for Brea to go to her as she fought the ropes to breath.
Her blue eyes followed Colt as he finally moved in to her field of vision. He was bloody and panicked but at least he was getting to Corey. The ropes tightened and Logan whimpered at the pain. “Brea,” she practically whispered, “Make a wish.” She hadn't mentioned the magic of stars and wishes before. It wasn’t like genie magic that a wish would just come true but it would help.
“Wish that they were easier to undo,” she told him hoping it would work.
