There had been a few subtle interactions with the pretty little Russian brunette since the blood moon, but usually Killa had made some excuse to cut their interactions short. He was attracted to her, felt this intense pull to her that he couldn't quite figure out and that kind of risk on his emotions wasn't something he was entirely prepared for. This did not stop him from stalking her Instagram and other social media accounts, something he knew she also did, since they constantly liked each other's things and commented with things that were probably definitely flirty. Something Bryan had not hesitated to call him on. Which of course Killa ignored.
Until Bryan took matters into his own hands, after watching Killa and Nadya stare at each other like idiots across the hallway, but never going over to the other. As his best friend and familiar walked way from him, Killa had realized he was heading straight for Nadya and hurried after him, because he knew Bryan was NOT to be trusted. As the lion stopped in front of the pretty skater, she looked surprised and he was handing her a flyer to their show in L.A. Killa could not be held accountable for the deer in headlights look he felt was on his face as Bryan talked at her, his eyes meeting the pretty skater's, but saying nothing. Despite his deer in headlights feelings, his resting witch face, did not show that he was freaking out at Bryan's words to her. He had no idea why he couldn't speak when he was around her. He was normally quiet, unless around his crew, but this was ridiculous.
She smiled that smile that gave the baksu tingles up his spine and made his stomach clench as she said she'd love to go. He gave a short nod and a smile, before he and Bryan turned to leave. He cast one last look over his shoulder to find her still looking after him and smiling and he smiled more, before ducking his head away.
He was more quiet then normal before the show, something each of the crew remarked on, and Bryan informed them that his crush was coming. To which he'd responded with his usual gusto that it was not a crush. There was that look from Bryan, which he ignored and he went back to worrying about if she didn't come. Or if she did. He'd told Bryan that she wouldn't come, and his best friend had very confidently proclaimed that yes she would.
Before they'd ended up backstage to prepare, he'd peeked and hadn't seen her. Bryan was still confident she would appear. Killa wasn't so sure. And he wasn't sure which he really wanted. That coupled with the jitters that were akin to stage fright, which he never actually acknowledged, had him taking the offered joint from Bryan without a word and drinking from the handle of Hennessy he had been given.
And then it was time and he took a final drag off the joint Bryan offered him and downed shots with the rest of the crew before they took the stage. The bright lights of the club, the welcoming screams and applause of the crowd and all his nerves, worry and stress dropped away and it was just the crew and the audience. Launching into "Weathermen", Killa lost himself in the energy of the crowd, the feel of the subtle high and the alcohol setting in. A few group songs and he slipped off stage to take another hit while Owen and Fla did a thing, before he came back for a solo, a more down tempo, serious, almost wistful, sad one called "Downtown Baby". It was during this song that he saw her, by the bar, like a beacon of sparkling light on her sexy dress, with an equally over dressed and sexy Russian blonde, he always saw her with.
