WHO: Vi and Tay WHEN: February 9, Evening WHERE: Vi's suite WHAT: Making a big discovery of an equally big oopsie RATING: I don't even pretend to know.
It had been a long day. Or at least it felt that way to Vi. She didn't understand why she felt so exhausted, seeing as she had definitely made sure to get caffeine when she woke up and started her day. She had gotten plenty of sleep the night before too, but she couldn't shake the exhaustion that seemed to have settled over her like a cloud. It had been happening for a few days actually, though she hadn't really had time to do a spell that might help perk her up. Typically this feeling only flared up when she was doing way too much for way too long, but things had been pretty steady recently. Nothing over the top.
In addition to the inability to stop yawning every five seconds, Vi felt irritable. Things that typically would roll off her back got under her skin in a big way, though she usually attributed that to stress when it happened. She didn't feel stressed, though, but she did feel generally achy and...off. Since they both had been pretty busy with classes or other obligations recently, Vi figured that a night with her fiance was just what the doctor ordered. She'd texted him and told her to come over at a specified time, then set about making some food for them to enjoy. The thought brought a smile to her lips as she thought back to the night of the supermoon, marveling at how she could ever want to try cooking again after that. Luckily, her magic had returned itself to normal after the moon, so she wasn't too worried about setting anything on fire this time.
Vi's first thought had been a tried and true beef teriyaki recipe she knew they both loved, but as soon as she pulled out the various ingredients for the sauce, that idea had been decidedly nixed. The smell of the soy sauce as she poured it into the bowl to mingle with the garlic and other assortments made her stomach shift uneasily. The nausea was not normal, Vi loved Chinese food and soy sauce and everything else typically, but she didn't really think much of it. After drinking some water and sitting down, it passed, though she had to scrap the cooking idea. Instead, she'd ordered sandwiches to be delivered instead. With that done, she'd settled to wait for Tay, still dressed in her clothes from earlier, and suddenly feeling that wash of exhaustion again. She certainly hoped it worked itself out before Tay got there.
