Kiss was glad that her beloved friend had stopped by today. It was a nice surprise after a long day, and she was ashamed of how long it had been since she'd seen Lexi. They really had to get better at time management so this kind of thing didn't happen again. She had already finished her homework for today, and Kiss figured she could just shoot Crash a text telling him that she was busy. Even in a honeymoon stage you were allowed to spend time with friends, right? Seeing Lexi smile melted away any and all feelings of guilt, and she definitely didn't hesitate to invite him inside and to the couch so they could decide what to do.
"I never said I didn't think highly of myself. I simply said you gave me an awful lot of credit," she pointed out, but was smiling as she spoke. Kiss was glad for the praise, but the blush on her cheeks showed just how modest she was. It wasn't a lack of self-confidence entirely. It was more that she hated hearing such sweet things when she thought others were more deserving. The closeness of her best friend didn't seem odd to her, as Lexi always sat close to her. They were best friends! Of course, Kiss should have thought about what her boyfriend would say, but she didn't think it was a big deal. It was innocent. "I like trouble. It adds some excitement to the day. Just...nothing TOO bad. I don't want detention or anything."
