Dallas had mixed feelings about their small moment of victory. He was glad that they had managed to break a kiss without it escalating immediately, but he was also disappointed that it hadn't escalated immediately. It was quite a contradictory feeling. "Well I knew I had to try and match how you were going to look tonight," he said with a smile. "I appreciate that you think I cam at least a little close." Winking , he handed the flowers over, loving the way she laughed at his antics almost as much as the way she exclaimed over the roses. Sahara immediately brought them to her face to inhale the scent, and seeing how much she loved them brought a warm smile over his face.
"You are most welcome," he said as she thanked him, following her inside as she opened the door wider. "My father always told me that you never show up for a first date with a lady empty handed," he explained as he moved inside and watched as she went to find somewhere to put them. Dallas' smile brightened as she told him that they were her favorite, and he couldn't help the small bit of pride that shone in his eyes. "Well wasn't that a lucky instinct I had then," he remarked with a grin. "It must be fate." He winked again as she went and found a vase to set the flowers in, smiling to himself a little as she smelled them one more time before she returned to him.
"I was ready before I even got here," he said with a small smile. Dallas waited until Sahara had collected her things and locked the door before he extended an arm to her. "May I?" he asked. "I hope you don't mind me calling a car for us. I figured we might want to drink at dinner and wanted to make sure we could get back home. Ok, maybe he was showing his goody-goody side, but he couldn't help it.
