Aella & Marty
Who: Aella & Marty
Where: Aella's dorm
When: Saturday, December 1st
What: Friends gotta chat, right?
Aella hadn't been entirely sure how she felt about this whole school thing at first. It had been Marty's suggestion. Which made sense since he was really the only person that she was willing to listen too. It hadn't been that hard to get in. A few favors, a little last name change, A few exaggerations on her application. It was a good thing the school was willing to accept street kids provided they could pass an exam and write a pretty essay. Aella didn't have any of the formal school documents. Her parents had homeschooled right up until they abandoned her. She was self-taught from there. It was a good thing she was talented as hell. Not to mention a natural leader with a willingness to do almost anything.
her hesitation about the whole thing had melted away once they got here. there were SO many useful things at this school. There were books she never would be able to get on the streets, forbidden knowledge that could only be accessed for 'academic' reasons, the hall of relics that had SO many uses. Most of it she couldn't access quite yet. She needed to be in certain classes to justify her access but she had talked her way into accessing some of the low-level dark magic books. Some of it Aella already knew, though seeing it in a formal presentation was enlightening. Other parts she had seen her parents perform but they hadn't taught her. And then there was some she had never seen. Aella was fascinated. there were uses for practically every spell in these books. And they weren't all completely evil uses. Sure they could be downright wicked if the caster wanted but they didn't HAVE to be. She was learning alot. And she hadn't even gotten to the potions book. Potions were her specialty.
Which was exactly what she was working on. Aella was lounged comfortably on the couch in her dorm flipping through a particularly interesting potion. the ingredients might be hard to get but the effect could be worth it. Aella didn't move when she heard the door opening. She had given Marty a key to her room, just like she had a key to his. It was one of the ways they expressed trust. Besides, she knew he was coming.
"Yo," she greeted him without even looking up from her book. "The library has some great options and the librarian is really easy to sweet talk." well at least the one she met had been.
