It was nice to hear Van agree that flying with him was an exception, though of course he knew she didn't mean every time. At least she had as many fond memories of that flight as he did, though Callum knew the length would never be one of her favorites. Given that Australia was home, though, he definitely didn't mind. A soft laugh escaped him as she insisted she had perfect vision, and he cocked an eyebrow at her. "Are they, though?" he questioned, though his grin showed that he wasn't really going to argue. If he did then she would just keep complimenting him until he gave up fighting. Callum knew Van well enough by now to know when to cut his losses. If he wanted the compliments to stop, he had to stop fighting them.
No matter how well he knew Van, however, there were times (frequently, in fact) that she very much surprised him. Hearing her say that she didn't have to be dressed either was definitely one of those times. The only reason his face didn't turn beet red in response was that smile she gave him, one that always managed to settle his nerves and insecurities and remind him that he could be anyone he wanted to be. He didn't have to be a helpless mess. Callum's eyes followed as she undid the buttons on her blouse, and it was very obvious from the way his blue eyes darkened exactly what he thought of that action.
His eyes followed Van as she got up and crossed the room, his shyness and uncertainty slowly transforming as he watched her move. While Callum tended to stick his foot in his mouth or stumble over his words when he was around Van thanks to his feelings, he was still very much a hot blooded male. One with an animal under the surface, to be exact. And at that moment all he could think about was the soft skin he saw peeking out from her unbuttoned shirt. Callum was so busy staring that he almost didn't realize she'd spoken even though she was right beside him practically, and he had to shake himself to clear his head.
"Maybe they gave it to me knowing you'd be coming to my room and wanting snacks while you were here?" he suggested, though it was a long shot. It wasn't entirely out of the realm of possibility, however. Their managers knew they were friends. Callum kept his eyes on her as she bent to grab a drink, not bothering to try and look away from the incredible view of her ass as she did so. He was pretty sure Van was doing it on purpose, but even if she wasn't he was unable to help himself.
"That is a very valid point," he said, moving across the room once she'd settled back on the couch. There was a brief moment where he contemplated sitting in a different chair that would put some distance between them, but reading a script wasn't the time for trying to resist your urges. Closeness was definitely key in order to get the right chemistry and find a way you flowed together. Once he was settled on the couch with his own script in hand, he surveyed a few random pages.
"I'm fine with picking a random place." Callum had read bits and pieces, but he didn't really have to follow a script from the beginning to get a feel for it so he didn't really care.
