WHO: Nacola and Dustin WHEN: Late night November 8th/Early morning November 9th WHERE: Nacola's Dorm. WHAT: Talking. RATING: We're safe as far as sexy times are concerned at least.
Nacola had been agonizing over what happened during the night of Truth or Dare for months now. Not necessarily the chaos and destruction they had unintentionally unleashed on the school (though that still plagued her to be sure), but more specifically everything that had happened with her new guardian. Dustin. While her opinion on the issue of being bonded again hadn't changed, she knew it wasn't Dustin's fault that any of this had happened. What's more, she knew the way she had behaved that first night (and really every night since) was beyond wrong. She had been steadily avoiding the issue ever since, pretending it wasn't there while being coldly cordial with Dustin at best. When was forced to interact with him at all, that is.
In the past, any mistakes or misbehaviors she'd committed had either been written off because she was such a sweetheart pretty much all of the time or someone else just fixed the problem for her. That wasn't who she was anymore, or who she wanted to be, and this infraction had been worse than any other. Nacola had grown, had changed, and she wanted to take responsibility for her actions accordingly. Regardless of all that had happened to her, there was no excuse for her behavior, and he it was past time she fixed it.
Tonight was one of the nights where sleep just wouldn't come for the young angel. At least sleep that was without terrible nightmares, that is. There were still enough sleepless night to maybe be a concern, especially when Garrett was away like he was now, but Nacola tended to ignore them. She certainly didn't tell anyone about them either. On this particularly bad night, the young princess decided she might as well do something productive with the hours she wasn't sleeping. She knew Dustin would be awake, since she'd observed enough to learn his schedule by now and the bond was also helpful in that regard, so she decided it was time they talked. Past time, really. Nacola filled a mug with coffee, light and sweet as she'd noticed he preferred it, and then made some hot chocolate for herself. There was still a chance she could catch a few hours of sleep before her rehearsal the next day if she didn't drink something like coffee.
Since she was in her dorm because Garrett was away, Nacola didn't have to go far to find the guardian in the main living area. Dustin was seated in one of the chairs she and Roxy had brought in during one of their many decorating phases, so she took a seat on the couch across from him instead. Thought before handing him the mug with a gentle, albeit nervous, smile. "Mind if I join you?" she asked after taking a sip from her mug and trying to gather herself in preparation for this.
