Re: Corey & Colt | Colt's Dorm
Colt was trying his damnest to ignore her tears. He wanted to apologize, to tell her it would all be ok and that he hadn't meant any of the or he hadn't meant to be so cold. He wanted to brush her tears away, and kiss her until she felt better. But he couldn't. First of all, they had this dare that needed to be completed and second of all, he really shouldn't open that door again. Maybe she would get over her crush if he was mean. Though he hated thinking that. He didn't actually want her to get over things at all.
"maybe a little," he answered when she asked if he was insane. it was clear his confident demeanor was not having the effect he was going for. "I mean how do you know I don't ride blindfolded every day." He let a small smile pass over his features as he couldn't help but tease her. It felt good. this was their normal teasing. "Yes exactly," he confirmed as she repeated his instructions., "Cause if you lean against it, we won't turn so well and you might end up against a tree." The wide terrified eyes she gave him after that statement made him backtrack just a little. "I'm kidding." he told her, "It will mean I dont have to fight the bike as hard if you lean with it. and I dont want to have to fight it when I can't see what I'm doing." He was hoping she would accept that explanation and see that maybe he wasn't trying to treat this like it was nothing.
Colt didn't actually wait for her answer. He knew her answer would be no. Who would be ready to do this? The world was dark around him with his visor down. He was aware of the wind against him which meant he could estimate the speed at least a little. Mostly he was aware of the way Corey held on to him. They hadn't gone far at all when he heard her first instructions. Colt followed them without hesitation. Just like he followed every one of her instructions. Well, at least their whole kissing moment didn't mess up their ability to communicate.
Colt kept adding speed as she instructed him. the turns were getting sharper as the speed increase. It seemed like it was taking forever to reach their target. Finally, Corey announced they had hit it. Colt breathed a sigh of releif, not that was at all safe yet. He kept going at that speed for probably a half mile. He just wanted to be sure the dare had been completed before he hit the breaks But he didn't stop. Instead, they got to a more reasonable speed for him to let go of the handlebar to lift his helmet visor.
"Well we survived" he yelled back to her over the wind as he took a moment to figure out where the hell they had ended up. Once he figured out he turned the bike, a little sharply, in a different direction. It only took a couple more minutes for him to arrive at the little ice cream shop not TOO far from school.
"What's the rule you and my brother have about ice cream?" he asked even though he knew exactly what it was.
