Bailey & Saylor | Day Two - Afternoon
Saylor seemed to have all the right words. he didn't try to convince her understood. He didn't try to get her to explain more right now. He just assured her that he could and would still help her. The redhead held his eyes even as she cried. She couldn't help the tears. she wouldn't have been able to stop them even if she tried.
"But you don't know that." she told him as she continued to protest, "I don't even know how to aim. She only showed Riely how to use the gun." She should have known that the sentence would make no sense to him. but it didn't occur to her. Really all it did was expand the scope of the obvious trauma she had experienced. It was clear something awful had happened. Her tear filled eyes looked up at him again as she told her he wouldn't leave her.
"You promise?" she questioned. She had begged Markus not to go as she had laid bleeding on the floor next to him. It had been pointless. Markus had been dead before his body even hit the floor. She knew that now but she didn't then. Bailey glanced down at the gun in her hand as he told her what to do. She didn't even hear his tone, not really. Her blue eyes looked back up at him when he told her he trusted her.
