Bailey & Saylor | Day Two - Afternoon
It was all too much. Far too much for Bailey to handle. Fear of her mother sent her into a pure panic. She could barely think straight and in no way could she communicate clearly with her boyfriend. Still, his voice was calming. His very presence helped a little. Her panicked eyes help him as he tried to assure that he wouldn't let anything happen.
"You don't understand," she tried to tell him, shaking her head slightly at him. She knew she should try to explain more. Even if she could, how did one explain her mother? It didn't matter, the voice of her dead brother quickly distracted her. She didn't notice Saylor coming closer as she listened to the terrible words on the phone.
The phone slipped from her hand as she looked up at him. Telling him what she needed to do. Her eyes were wide with fear. A fear that didn't go away with the way he touched her. His kiss though, just the sweet gentle touch of his lips on her cheek, brought some realization, some thought that maybe he would be able to stop whatever was going on. But then he told she needed to do it. Her eyes grew even wider. She started to shake her head vigorously at him.
"But if I shoot you, You could die!" she protested, "Like Markus. I don't want you to die!" her tears were pouring down her face as flashes of memory of her dead baby brother in the hallway of their apartment appeared behind her eyes. the cold metal fo the gun in her hand suddenly felt like the heaviest wight. it shook in her hand.
