Re: Thea & Tylen | Day Three, Morning
Every word out of the hawk's mouth felt like a knife directly in her heart. Thea found herself looking at her boyfriend, but not really seeing him. She couldn't bear to watch the look that she feared would pass over Ty's face. It wasn't that she didn't have more faith in him, she knew he was better than maybe anyone else thought he was, and he would never think less of her for what had been done to her. It was just Thea's own insecurities, the own scars from her trauma, that left her feeling like she was less than. Like some part of her had been ripped away and it left her unworthy.
When she noticed Ty shaking his head, there were tears still rolling down her cheeks. Her mind was lost in memories, the pain and the fear and the helplessness nearly suffocating her. It was his voice that brought her out of her thoughts, and she bit her lip as she shrugged. Thea didn't know what the game thought or wanted. She didn't understand what the point of all this was outside of hurting people. Because she was definitely suffering, oh boy was she ever. At least until Ty continued to speak.
His words filled her with so much emotion, so much warmth, that she nearly burst into renewed tears with the overwhelming intensity of it. "I don't know, but I do know that I am angry with myself. And disgusted. Nearly every single day," she finally said, looking up at him. "But I know I would not be able to bear it if I didn't have you. You are everything I need. I just need you to know that."
