Re: Ren & Tori | Midday - Day Two
Ren was still stuck on the fact that it was a minor miracle that he was holding on the solid edge of the pool. When he had gotten that dare he had been convinced it had been a death sentence. Not that he truly thought that Tori would just sit there and let him drown but he hadn't really thought past his immediate concern of drowning.
his relief was short lived though as he realized that something was definitely wrong with his girlfriend. He could see the way she tried to smile at him but he could see the effort required to make it happen. A level of effort that seriously concerned him.
"I love you too," he answered almost automatically to her words. Not that he didn't mean them, he did very much so. but he was far more focused on what was wrong. It was her next sentence that concerned him. the concern was clear on his face when she mentioned the dare. When had she gotten a dare? But his eyes quickly grew full of concern as she told him what the dare actually was. His arm tightened around her as she seemed to be fading.
'Tori No!" He started as she started to go limp in his arm. Ren couldn't let go of the wall in order to pull her completely into his arms but he needed to get them both out of the water. He had never been more grateful for his shifter strength and Tori's small frame. Between his grip on the wall and using the wall the for footing, he was able to pull her out of the water and deposit her on the deck of the pool. It probably wasn't the gentlest of moves possible but at least she was out of the pool. It was then easy enough for him to use both of his hands to push his body out of the water. That gymnastic training had helped with.
Finally out of the water Ren gathered his girlfriend in his arms. "Tori! Baby, don't go anywhere" he practically begged. He knew she had no control over it just like he knew it really wasn't a choice for her to let him drown. Though he would have done anything to make sure she was alright.
"Baby, I love you so much," he told her, not even bothering to hide the tears as he kissed her face
