Re: Thea & Tylen | Day Three, Morning
The voices kept raising in volume, the sound like a million flies buzzing in her ears, and making her press her hands more firmly to the sides of her head in the hopes of blocking it out. Of course it didn't work, and her desperate plea to Tylen was more like a plea to whatever it was that had started this game in the first place for relief she knew wouldn't come.
It wasn't until he pulled her close, wrapping her in his arms tightly and tenderly, that the noise quieted. Her heart was still pounding, though she gradually calmed the longer he held her against him. Thea wasn't thinking of this moment, no she was several months back and locked in a dark room instead. Only Ty's voice and presence brought her out of the thoughts, and she managed a slight smirk at his words even if the smile didn't reach his eyes. "Well you are an asshole," she murmured, purely on instinct, in an attempt to find some footing in this whole mess. Some normalcy. Looking up into his eyes, Thea bit her lip, the worry and uncertainty and guilt all warring for position in her own dark eyes.
"I know. I know you wouldn't leave me over something stupid," she said softly, wanting to add 'or ever' but it seemed like something that would make him uncomfortable. Especially in their current circumstance. "I just..." she trailed off, shaking her head as she searched for words. "It's just vile. I don't know if I can even say it." It was as close as Thea had to come to outright refusing, and she felt the ripple that moved through her at the words. As if whatever powers that be sensed she was wavering and was anticipating what it would get if she didn't complete her task.
