Morgan & Maddie | Day Two, After the Quarantine
Maybe Maddie should have been more curious about Morgan's past, about her family and about why she was the way she was. But he loved her just the way she was, for the person she was when they were together and the person she made him. Neither of them had stellar records when it came to being good people, but together those two not so great people seemed to be better. They didn't bring out the worst in each other, like some people might have thought. So whatever it was that Morgan had to tell him about her past that she didn't want to share, he'd listen and he wasn't going to judge her for it.
As she smiled that soft smile that he was sure only he'd ever seen, his own warm smile echoed hers. At the way Morgan asked him how she tricked fate into letting her have someone like him, he raised her hand up to his lips again. "I ask myself that question about you everyday, Morgana Blackwell." Another breath was let out by the woman he loved and he waited quietly for her to continue with the reveal she had been tasked with.
And that one was a big one. Of course what Maddox Lennon knew about demi fae could probably fill a thimble. And what he knew about muses was just as small. He knew that revealing one was a demi fae was a big deal. They were rare, kept to themselves and often passed as Seelie or Unseelie. In Morgan's case he just assumed she was Unseelie of some variety and had no idea what her powers were or weren't. A muse?
"So does that mean just being around you makes me more inspired?" he asked, clearly not getting why this was a big deal. Obviously Maddie had not paid attention in his fae studies class. Actually he wasn't even sure he'd passed that one....
"Because I have been writing some killer songs about you and I'm definitely not mad about it." The witch smiled at her teasingly. She looked so worried about his reaction he wondered if there was more to it he was missing. Was she worried he might think he was only good because of her? Because he'd been good BEFORE her and he was even better with her, so he wasn't seeing a draw back.
