Nissa, Lights & Poppy | Later afternoon Day Two
She knew Poppy was only going to get more angry at the actual relationship status. Maybe she should have waited until Poppy calmed down to correct her but really she felt like that would just drag out the process. Poppy was now finding out, she might as well find out everything. Including the timeline which she did not take well too at all.
Nissa's gaze was fixed on the floor. She didn't want to keep looking at angry Poppy's face. She glanced up for a moment as she felt Lights' touch on her shoulder. Even now, as in trouble as they were, his touch on her bare shoulder sent a wave of feeling through her. And not nesaccarily a sexual feeling. He was able to actually comfort her with a single touch. Nissa pulled the blanket tighter around herself as she resisted the temptation to move even closer to him. They did not need to bait Poppy into getting even angrier.
Nissa didn't have much to say. She had no real defense and Poppy was rightfully angry. Hearing her friend's voice crack with emotion brought up her own tears. She didn't want to cry. Not that when she was the one that had caused all this mess. Really if they looked close enough at their conversations it would pretty clear that Nissa was the one least pushing to tell Poppy.
"I haven't told anyone," she insisted as she shook her head. Of course, Nissa knew that Killa and Byran knew (that had been lesson #1 in making sure doors were locked) and she had assumed Lights had told Owen but she hadn't told anyone. The few times she felt the need to say something to someone it had been to Killa and Bryan, who already knew. "I didn't want to tell anyone cause I was scared it would ruin it or jinx it or something," she admitted softly. Nissa didn't like admitting vulnerable feelings. she finally looked up to meet Poppy's eyes.
