Carter & Sloan | Midday - Day One
At his playful answer, telling her that he wasn't going to stop her, Sloan almost smiled, but the distress at being forced to do this trumped the feeling the taller fae inspired in her. The witch shifted her weight from foot to foot as he added the thing about her not wanting to.
"That's not exactly true," she answered as he took her by the shoulders and moved her to the side of the hallway. His handsome face was clearly concerned as he looked down at her, asking her what was going on. The smaller girl shook her head a moment then her phone went off and she glanced down at the text.
KISS HIM SLOAN.
The text from the unknown number made her stomach flip. Swallowing hard she looked back up at him. he had to know about this stupid game. And the consequences.
"The game is real, Carter. Do the dare. Tell the truth, whatever you do." The fae was still looking at her naked concern on his face. "I was in class and the kid in front of me who I've never spoken two word to, dared me to kiss my crush." The girl dropped her pale blue eyes as that last part hung in the air.
"And its not that I don't want to kiss you, its just that..." the witch trailed off before shaking her head, blinking back those pesky prickling tears. "It's complicated."
"It's just a kiss, Carter." She wasn't sure which of them she was trying to convince, her or him.
