Lyrica & Devon | AFTER MIDNIGHT
There was a time when Devon would have never considered Even in his wildest dreams, randomly bursting into song on the sidewalk of L.A. Not to mention right outside The Whiskey with no shortage of musically included people, as evidenced by the fact that he had so easily secured a guitar. But now it didn't even occur to hesitate. He could see she needed to hear what he thought about her and he could never express it just in simple words and it wouldn't really make sense to just speak his lyrics. so here he was, singing like he would sing if he were on stage but only to her.
Devon paid absolutely no attention to the people that gathered around them as he sang. Sure he knew they were there, kinda, but they didn't matter. What mattered was Lyrica and the beautiful smile on her face as he sang with all his heart. He wanted to be sure she believed every word he sang and he hoped the unfinished song really did work the way he hoped it did.
He had just enough time to swing the borrowed guitar around him as she moved in to wrap her arms around his neck. He kissed her back as his arms slipped around her waist, holding her perfect body close to him. He smiled at the way she answered the lyrics and the way the small crowd around them cheered and clapped for them. She didn't give him the opportunity to say anything before she kissed him again. Not that he had really thought of anything good to say at the moment anyway. He was perfectly happy with kissing being their form of communication at the moment. It meant she was no longer made by her idiot ex. He couldn't imagine treating Lyrica the way Hendrix had.
"Absolutely." He answered as he kissed her quickly again. He stepped back from her in order to pull the borrowed guitar off and hand it back to its owner. The kid looked like he was about to ask some long questions but Devon didn't give him the opportunity. Instead, he turned back to Lyrica.
"Did you have anywhere specific in mind?" he asked her as he slipped his arm around her waist. Devon hadn't thought to get a hotel in LA for the night. He usually wanst very good at planning ahead. Still, the pair of them started to walk away before he paused "Did you have anything inside you need to get?" he asked, suddenly aware of her lack of coat or purse.
