Thread: Shannon and July
Who: July and Shannon When: Friday, December 15th; Late afternoon Where: A romantic hill that requires lots of hiking to get to the perfect clearing and view of the sunset What: a first date with an inappropriately dressed July Rating: Lowish I think. Except for maybe July's language.
There were many people that would think that it was surprising that July had actually agreed to a date with Shannon but he was not actually one of them. He knew he had laid the groundwork and he could tell that she was at least mildly interested. So he hadn't been surprised when she agreed to his dinner date invitation. It helped that Shannon was the 'pull all stops out' type of guy. when he did something he went all the way and with no hesitation. Which was why he had gotten up early to check on the multi-course picnic he had arranged to be made by the kitchen for him. It had all been made and stored in magic boxes and baskets that would regulate their temperature perfectly. And of course, he had not forgotten the bottle of chilled champagne. After that, he had hiked out to his carefully selected spot. It was true it was a bit of a hike to get to but there was no denying it was the perfect place for a first date.
There he had carefully set everything up. Blankets and pillows with flowers and perfectly arranged table wear on the blankets. He set up lights and lanterns around the tree and blanket. The plan was for them to make it to the site in time to see the sunset while they ate their first courses and then the lights would automatically turn on while they talked and had desert creating the perfectly romantic scene Shannon had in his head. Sure maybe it was a little overdramatic but hey, he was an actor and he had grown up in Hollywood. Dramatic was just kinda a part of life for him. when he was satisfied he had hiked back to his car and headed off to pick up July. He had not told her anything about his plan other than they would be having dinner.
He arrived exactly one minute before he was supposed to meet her. Which was good, Shannon wasn't really a fan of being late. They had agreed to meet in the main lobby since they were leaving to go somewhere it had just made more sense to meet there. He was already grinning as he found a spot to stand and wait for her to join him.
