Thread: Willa and Jace
Who: Willa and Jacek
Where: Jace's dorm
When: Tuesday night 12/19
What: Willa's attempt to be normal doesn't go well
Rating: Lowish / Mediumish I think. Look I actually have no idea
Willa didn't know what had gone wrong. She was so damn confused and even more upset. Of course, she wasn't 100% clear why she was so upset which only confused her more. It had supposed to be a good evening. A boy in her science class, Nick, had been talking to her a lot the last few months and he had seemed very nice. He was helpful and offered to help her get caught up on some the of the material she didn't understand. To be honest she had missed his flirting initially. It was like sarcasm, it just went right over her head. Though she was getting a little better with the sarcasm thing. And when he had first actually asked her out Willa had hesitated. She had no idea what it meant to date and ... honestly, she still struggled with the idea of not being married. But Jace avoided her so well she barely caught any sight of him. She couldn't read what was going on in his head, no matter how much she loved him. Her hesitation hadn't stopped Nick from asking again and again.
Eventually, she agreed. Dating was a thing normal girls did right? and everyone around her wanted her to be normal so badly. she wanted to be the good, normal, successful niece her uncle wanted her to be and she wanted to live up to the dreams her parents expected of her in their diaries. She had been working on the friends thing. Maybe dating was the thing to try next? Even after she agreed Willa had to repeatedly talk herself back into the decision. It was worse when she struggled to figure out what on earth she should wear. She had practically torn her closet apart before she settled on a short, deep red dress she had actually bought. She pulled her hair half up so it was out of her face. She reminded herself that Nick was a very nice guy as she pushed away her renewed hesitation before leaving to meet him.
The fact that she was now walking back to school by herself, with the sleeves of her dress torn, the tie in the back undone, her hair a mess and her mascara running down her face, made her seriously question how normally girls functioned in the world and what exactly nice meant in reference to nice guys. despite her kidnapping and semi-criminal lifestyle she had always been sheltered, hidden by Jace's kidnapping "parents" and protected by Jace. There was so much she didn't understand.
The evening has started out alright. Nick had taken her to a nice restaurant and they had real nice conversation. he had paid, though she had offered to at least help with the bill. They had gone back to his car for what Willa had assumed was the ride back to school. he had stopped at some park a few miles from campus and leaned in to kiss her. Willa had allowed that. She wasn't particularly comfortable with it but kisses were something that happened on a first date right? It had been his hand on her exposed thigh that had changed everything. when she tried to pull away from the kiss, Nick only leaned into her more, his hand sliding higher up her leg. His other hand had somehow found the tie on the back of her dress and undid it before she had even realized what he was doing. That's when she had asked him to stop. Willa wasn't a virgin. She had slept with her husband Jace many times but she had no intention of having sex with Nick tonight. That's when Nick had gotten mad. he told her she owed him for dinner, for all his help, and he reminded her how nice he had been to her. She was so confused as he pushed her against the door of the car to kiss her again, his hand sliding under her skirt to tug at the panties she wore. As confused and sheltered as she was Willa was not exactly a defenseless girl. She had made the decision that she did not want this to continue and pushed him away from her, his hand on her arm tearing her sleave in the process and firmly told him no. That's when he kicked her out of his car and drove away, leaving her alone to walk back to school.
The tears had come as she walked along the road. She didn't understand if she had done something wrong or if she had missed some social cue. Maybe the whole thing had just been a giant mistake. What was the point of dating when she already knew she was completely in love with Jace. Then again, Jace was avoiding her so she didn't really know what he was thinking and she was just so tired of being confused. She felt so much better when she could shut out the world and just be with Jace. Even just being in the same space of him made her feel so much better. It was probably that thought that had head to her ending up in front of his dorm room instead of her own when she finally made it back to campus. She hesitated before she knocked but Willa believed in fate and something must have wanted her to come here.
