ZAYDEN & LOKI | A FEW DAYS AFTER THE SUPERMOON
WHO: Zayden & Loki
WHEN: A few days after the supermoon, right after their text conversation.
WHERE: Loki's dorm room
WHAT: Zayden goes to try to comfort Loki and work out this ridiculous situation.
RATING: Medium?
It was clear as day that the conversation between Zayden and Loki was not going to be resolved vis texting, like he was kinda hoping. Not because he didn't want to see her, because GODDESS knew he did. But because he was truly worried about the demon streak he had inside that was still stinging over the blow to his ego and feelings that he had felt walking in on the aftermath of his best friend and the girl he liked having had sex. Probably several times. He groaned at the inner voice's commentary and almost turned around in the hallway to go back. If this was already the commentary of that terrible inner pride voice, he was really worried about how it was going to be around her. And he REALLY liked her. He was drawn to her. His goddess of the sea. It as more then her looks. It was her attitude, the way she looked at the world, her quick wit and many talents. She was everything he didn't know he wanted, but always did.
So he kept walking, shoving his phone back into his back pocket as he crossed campus, after texting Memphis that he was going to talk to Loki. He'd already told Rocco days ago he was fine, they were fine, he just needed a minute. He could tell how sorry Rocco was, how much he regretted the incident, but Zayden had told him to knock it off, he didn't want to hear any more apologies for having sex with a gorgeous girl on the night of the supermoon. Sure, the whole situation sucked for him, but what could he do?
As he arrived at her dorm room he knocked on the door and he wondered if she had actually expected him to show up. He'd be lying if he said he didn't have feelings about this whole situation, but he really wasn't mad at either of them. It wasn't their fault. And he was doing a damn good job of ignoring that prideful voice saying otherwise.
Knocking again he hoped she didn't decide she didn't want to see him or that she might think he was trying to hurt her more or something stupid like that. But the door opened and there she was. Zayden smiled at her.
"Hi." She looked so unsure, so lost, and ashamed and Zayden found the prideful voice was suddenly gone because all he wanted was to comfort her, to make her feel better, to show her how much he did care about her, how much he wanted to do this. He reached for her hand and pulled her into his arms with no warning, one arm automatically wrapping around her waist, the other coming to cup her perfect face.
"One doesn't show up at a Goddess' door without tribute," he said with a smirk as he leaned in and kissed her, gentle and sweet, a physical pology for making her feel worse about something she already felt guilty about.
