Lourdes & Jareth | The Library
At the last possible moment the dead released him and Jareth calmly took a step away from them and towards Lourdes and the unconscious Emilie as her feet. Lourdes eyes were wide as she demanded to know what the hell was going on. Jareth was still calm as he always was and answered her matter of factly.
"It appears the school is under attack, again, you are a necromancer, and you have no idea how to control it. Does that cover it Lourdes?" Dark eyes trained on her as he spoke, that infuriating arch in his eyebrow distinctly telling her he knew way more then she did about what was going on with her.
"I'd be happy to explore your powers more in depth with you at a later time," he continued. "As it seems we're currently under attack again I suggest you merely follow my instructions and you and Emilie will make it out of this alive and perhaps even be a hero." Without waiting for her to say anything to all of that, he moved on.
"Now without overthinking I need you to channel all that panic and fear and anger into thinking VERY CLEARLY that all the dead in this room will obey you and rise."
The half blood stood looking at her, her obvious confusion almost making it impossible for her work through what he was telling her. The high priest sighed in slight frustration and impatience. Jareth reached out, his hand grabbing her wrist to try to shock her into action.
The contact sent a shock through them both and for the first time the hybrid looked surprised as suddenly he was in her head and she in his. He tightened his grip on her wrist as he fought against the initial instinct to push away from her and throw up his mental shields she had somehow gotten behind as only Kindra had before, with their soulmate connection. He filed away this information, as he knew now wasn't the time to try to figure this out.
Focus Lourdes he said to her mind-to-mind, his voice in her head. his own calm floated through her and a clarity came over them both. Use my focus and strength to make the dead obey your will. His innate power flowed between them, strengthening her mercurial powers, grounding them.
