Isis & Osiris | Hallways (Classroom off the Hallway)
In the months since she had started at Mystic Veil she had come to the determination that she rather liked it. It had been a bit off putting at first to be able to walk among the student body as a peer and to set her own exceptions for herself. She had realized after some time that there was something unique that came from being able to interact with others in a class room on a peer level. She learned things faster and saw the benefit of considering other points of view. It was a wonderful learning experience for life and leadership as well as her course of study. Her mother was still adamantly opposed to Isis spending the majority of her time at Mystic Veil and away from court. She didn’t see the benefit when there were perfectly good tutors willing to education the Rising Queen on any topic she could ask for. Perhaps if her mother had spent any time away from court as a Rising Queen she would see things differently. As it was it didn’t matter, Isis schedule was a full of classes and activities and she had no intention of changing that to return to court.
She had just finished her last class of the day and was returning to her suite with Keket in tow. Keket rarely left her side. Isis moved gracefully though the halls as she flipped through her text book, checking various facts as she walked. As she looked up to ask Keket a question she noticed a shit in the other woman's body language. She was on guard as she started down the hallway. Alarmed, Isis stepped back behind Keket. What could possibly be going on?
"What’s wrong?" she started to ask as the screams started to reach her ears. The students around them were running, somewhere bleeding as they ran down the hall. Then came the men with knives and guns, chasing the other students. The shots in the hallway were earsplittingly loud as Keket urged her further back. Isis did as she was urged as she moved with her guardian. The Royal Sphinx was both confused and frighten, neither of which were emotions Isis liked to admit to.
Several feet down the hall was classroom door. Keket quickly opened the door to check the room before unceremoniously sending her charge through the door and closing it behind her. Isis started to protest Keket's decision to remain the hallway but the door was closed before she could. Isis glanced around eh apparently empty classroom before she saw him.
"Osiris." She breathed his name with relief. His presence made her feel safer immediately. She moved quickly across the room but stopped short as she saw the blood. The soft gasp that escaped her lips made it clear she had seen it. Her relief quickly shifted in to concern as she realized he was injured. She couldn’t tell the extent of his injury without looking closer, which she couldn’t do without touching him.
