Lourdes & Jareth | The Library
Jareth continued to watch the blonde girl as she reacted to his warning of her attacker. And then something amazing happened.
The dead man stepped around her and reached for the offending attacker one of its brothers-in-arms not less then a minute ago, and snapped his neck. The half wolf, half witch's eyebrow rose with distinct interest as Lourdes rose to her feet and two more dead rose with her. The smirk on his lips showed how calm and interested the young man was in this development. It was the only reason he didn't notice the attacker to his left until Lourdes called out to him and he turned ready to defend himself, but the attacker dropped to the ground, dead. Jareth didn't move, his eyes merely dropping to where the dead man fell at his feet and then back up to Lourdes.
It was easy to read her reactions to what she was doing. Lourdes had no idea how she was doing what she was doing and it scared her. Jareth noted this and moved towards her, side stepping quickly as one of the dead moved to grab him and Jareth grabbed the offending arm and literally ripped it from the socket, tossing it away from him. Of course the witch knew it was merely interpreting him as a threat, but that didn't mean he was going to let a zombie get the upper hand on him either way.
"Lourdes, you need to tell them I'm not the enemy," he growled as another came at him from behind, the wolf spinning around as he spoke another latin incantation and unleashed a glowing sparkling ball of pale blue which hit the dead man who had just been dead at his feet, freezing him.
Lourdes' eyes were wide and she looked panicked, like she didn't know how to do what he asked.
"You just need to think it clearly and they'll stop," he called as two more rose and moved from Emilie to grab the wolf before he could get out of the way. One ended up with a cold harsh hand on his shoulder, and he could feel it bruise as another made a grab for his throat.
"Lourdes, NOW!" he commanded as he threw an arm up to defend his throat and it grabbed his forearm, nails digging into his flesh.
