Estelle & Zeke | Hallways outside Yorath
When their world had been torn apart, Estelle had been in the hallway, on her way to the Great Hall to grab some dinner. And while she didn't encounter any of these attackers right away, the chaos in the hallways left her head reeling. And as people told her that the common rooms had been attacked, her blue eyes widened and she took off against the tides of the hallways towards Varrick, where her girlfriend was. She knew Lake was in her dorm room finishing up some English assignment, as they had plans to see each other later that evening. She knew her brother was off campus, visiting Jameson and his whole messed up family situation, so she didn't worry about Torsten.
Pushing through the panicking students she was shoved hard by someone and fell into the brick wall, slamming her head into the unforgiving brick as she tried (and failed) to catch herself. For a moment she held onto the wall as dark spots danced over her vision and she closed her eyes for a moment. She raised a hand to her forehead and it came away with blood on it. Estelle sucked in a breath at the stinging sensation as she touched it again and she cursed loudly. Turning back towards the Varrick dorm she used the wall as a guide as she walked.
Finally she was in a deserted corridor outside the doors for the common room. Of course the Unseelie fae had no idea how she was going to get to Lake's dorm and her head felt like it was on fire. And her reaction time was not what it normally would be. A lone attacker was suddenly in front of her and she looked up into cold cruel eyes of someone much older.
"I bet you're one of them fucking fairies, like that princess we took last year," he spat out, hitting her face with his spit. She would have asked him how he figured that, but realized it was because her hair kept changing colors rapidly with her stress and pain. A beefy hand shot out and grabbed her by her color changing hair and yanked, eliciting a sound of pain from the smaller girl and stars to dance in front of her eyes. He slammed her back into the brick wall and her head pounded so hard she thought she might black out, but she knew if she did she would be dead. And she had to get to Lake.
"You shouldn't fuck with the fae," she managed to say through gritted teeth as he tightened his hold in her hair. "Especially the Unseelie. They never forgive and they never forget." Her blue eyes fell on a knife on his belt and she grabbed for it as she brought her knee up to his groin. He doubled over and let go of her hair as her hand closed on the knife and she pulled it from its holster on his belt.
"You stupid fairy whore," he shouted and lunged at her as she slashed at his face. He easily blocked her slash, so she only ended up cutting his arm and he elbowed her in the face, splitting her lip as he also grabbed her hand with the knife and squeezed until she heard and felt the bones of her hand cracking, making her scream as she released the knife and fell back into the wall, hitting the back of her head again. A whimper escaped her as she slid down the wall. The man stood above her, the knife now in his hand and Estelle looked up at him, blood from the wound on her head running down the left side of her face, matching the bright blood that came from her split lip.
"I'm going to take my time with you Tinkerbell," he growled cruelly. "I like this much better then shooting kids. It's more...intimate." The dark meaning of his words were obvious in his hate filled eyes and Estelle wasn't sure how she would get out of this alive and just hoped Lake was safe hiding in her dorm. Her assaulter knelt down at her level as she cradled her broken hand against her and leaned in real close so she could feel his hot breath on her face as the knife caressed the side of her face and she squeezed her eyes shut.
