Lourdes & Jareth | The Library
Lourdes stared back in to the man's dead eyes as he stood over her. She didn’t understand. He most certainly looked dead. Though there no clear signs since he literally dropped dead. She searched him for some sort of clue to what he was waiting for. It seemed like he was waiting for orders. He couldn’t possibly be waiting for her orders. If he was she had no idea how to give them. It was several long moments before she decided that he wasn’t going to move and turned her attention back to Emilie.
"Em?" she pleaded as she tried to figure out exactly how Emilie was wounded. She didn’t want her to bleed out or shift in somewhat that hurt herself more. "Em. Please answer me." Her best friend stirred slightly but didn’t actually respond.
At the sound of her name Lourdes' head spun around to see another attacker headed for her. Out of nowhere the standing dead man moved, surprising quickly. He stepped around the girls on the floor and easily twisted the newcomer's head around, breaking his neck. Lourdes stood as the newly dead man dropped to the ground. As she did two more dead bodies, some with obvious fatal wounds, rose with her. She had no idea what was happening but it was obviously centered on her. The newly risen moved to flank Emilie's form.
Lourdes' terrified and confused eyes moved quickly around the room before she landed on jareth. He was watching her with interest and he was not nearly as concerned about the situation as she was. As she looked at him she saw a man lunging towards the half witch.
"Jareth!" She called as she pointed in the direction of his attacker. However the moment she did the man dropped to the ground. Never got within two feet of Jareth. The mix of surprise, confusion and fear was obvious on Lourdes' face. She didn’t even know what exactly she feared anymore, the men looking for blood or herself. What was clear was the fact that Lourdes had absolutely no idea what was going on.
