Priscilla & Alexei-The Library
For several long moments after her realization of what was happening, Priscilla was unable to move. She didn't see Alexei through the lingering smoke and bodies running every which direction, if he was alive then he would be coming for her right? The question brought a cold wave of fear over her that only paralyzed her further. What if he wasn't alive? What if they had taken him by surprise too? She swallowed past the lump suddenly threatening to close her throat, wondering if she should get up and find him. She couldn't just leave him there, even if he was supposed to be protecting her.
The chair was still on top of her, weighing much more than she felt was necessary for furniture, but Priscilla managed to wiggle herself a little and try to arch into a sitting position. Before she could, though, a familiar voice was suddenly speaking beside her. Glancing over, she was too relieved to care that the emotion took over her entire face at the sight of him. Alexei was alive. Her chest loosened a bit, though there was still the matter of the actual weight on her chest now. "I don't exactly have much of a choice there, do I?" she murmured, forcing a wobbly smirk as she said it, not willing to let it show just how scared she was. Of course, he knew her better than anyone else so Priscilla was keeping up appearances mostly for herself. Her shaking voice couldn't be helped, though.
Once the chair was off, she dragged in a breath, coughing a little as she resisted the urge to sit up and instead stayed where she was like he'd directed. From this angle, she couldn't help but notice the tiny flecks of green in his eyes, and she could almost pretend they were in another place. At least until his words snapped her out of her highly inappropriate daydreams. "I can move I think," she answered, knowing it would be easier for him to deal with any threats if he didn't have her in his arms. "What's the plan?"
