Who: Quinn and Finley
When: Monday evening
Where: Gym at Mystic Veil
What: Finely was challenged.
She had done it! Quintessa Littleton was returning to the Olympics this year. Though there had been little question in own mind that she would, there was always the chance. She had fallen off the beam during one of the trials. It was something that was nearly unheard of her. That wasn’t to say that she was perfect but her mistakes were normally less noticeable. The huge error, of course is where Quinn had focused her attention. It was unlikely that she would actually complete on the beam at the Olympics. But she was a perfectionist and the error was unacceptable.
Quinn was only back at school for a day. She had returned from the trials to pack her backs for training and check in with her teachers. She was about 1/2 way done with packing, which meant she had packed enough for the trails but she also planned to pack for the Olympics as well, which was a much larger task. Classes she would deal with tomorrow, Most of them were prepared for her to be out for a while anyway and she would leave for training the following morning. For now though she was obsessing over the beam routine. She needed to train it.
Quinn quickly trained in to one of her practice leotards before she headed down to the gym. The Union Jack decorated leotard was a gift from one the few gymnast Quinn actually considered a friend and she only wore it when she was training alone. After all, she did represent Team USA, she couldn’t advertise the UK in public. After her warm up she returned to the beam. It was not her specialty and it was defiantly not her favorite. Floor and beam were her favorites. Floor and Vault her specialties. She ran through the routine quickly and easily, which only made her more frustrated since there was clearly no reason that she shouldn’t have been perfect at the trials. Quinn continued to run the routine back to back.
