Xander wasn’t sure exactly how he had managed to get a girl like Cherish Shadowbrook. But somehow he had. He also wasn't sure how it had gone from a casual fuck to an actual relationship but Cherry hadn't protested when the word girl friend had slipped. If he was honest with himself he would admit that he was pretty damn sure he was completely in love with her. But Xander was rarely honest with himself. With everyone else he always was but he didn’t often point out truths to himself.
He didn’t miss the shift in her behavior over the last month. The fact that she was using more blood and she was more conscious of her food choices were the most obvious to him He had not noticed that she had stopped sleeping with other partners, mostly because it never bothered him so he had barely noticed it before. She was also sleeping more, which was why he was surprised when he woke this morning to find her gone.
It hadn’t been hard to figure out where she had gone. She had been talking about the difficulty she he was having with the routine. So after some breakfast Xander made his ways down to the practice room to say good morning and see what her plans were for the day. He moved nearly silently as he clipped in to the room with her.
Xander's dark eyes moved over her as she danced. He was only mildly concerned with the changes he had noticed before but watching the change in her movement heightened his concern. There was something very wrong with his girlfriend. The concern became even more obvious with a sharp intake of breath as she rolled on her ankle. She was still so beautiful but she looked tired.
"Hello, beautiful." he answered as he leaned in to kiss her. She pulled away quickly before she moved to her water. "How are you feeling, beautiful?"
